Church weddings in St. Sixtus Church in Niederau

A small Gothic church already existed in Niederau in 1409, this was enlarged in 1499 and renovated in the baroque style around 1740. Father Franz Xafer Mayrhofer (1896-1935) extensively renewed the furnishings and fittings in the church. Under Father Alois Mayr, the church was expanded to the west in 1970 according to plans by architect Prof. Clemens Holzmeister.

Honeymoon between romance and adventure – in the Kitzbühel Alps

The Kitzbühel Alps are for the most part in the Eastern Alps of Tirol. The so-called Glemmtal Alps are in Salzburg, the Kelchsau Alps in Tirol. The Kitzbühel Alps contain of the regions St.Johann in Tirol, Kitzbühel and surrounding area, Pillersee Valley, Brixen Valley, Wildschönau and Alpbach Valleys

The tourist region therefore only covers a small part of the geographical Kitzbühel Alps. The most famous mountains include the Keuzjoch (at 2558 the highest mountain in the Kitzbühel Alps), the Hahnenkamm (scene of the world-famous Hahnenkamm Ski Race) or the large Rettenstein (it’s rocky peak soars from the midst Grasberge).
