The Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau ski resort comprises 109 km slopes (in the fall line 145 km) in total and 47 ski lifts. The slopes are well-groomed and offer pure skiing fun. One pass is valid for the entire ski area. Snow security is guaranteed by the fact that 85% of all slopes have technical snowmaking facilities.
There are easier slopes on the wide ridge at the Kropfrader and Mittermoosjoch lifts, but the forest trails leading down to the valley, especially the Hochberg downhill run or the Stöck and Sixtwiese deep red runs appeal to more experienced skiers.
The Schatzberg in Auffach has more relaxing runs. Recreational skiers and snowboarders feel at home in the fun park and on the wide open slopes above the tree level. There are one or two mogul slopes and deep snow pistes.
In the center of Oberau on the Schiesshüttl slope there is a drag lift which, like the beginners' lifts in Niederau, are ideal for children and novices. (Riedllift und Pfarrerstucklift gibt es nicht mehr)
In the "Race and Boarder Arena" a racing track with permanent speed measurement is installed. A special carving zone, a giant slalom run and a slalom lane are alos on offer.
Whether skiing or snowboarding, the varied pistes in the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau ski area offer something for everyone.
There are many other activities off the slopes: 40 km of winter hiking trails wind through the valley. Cross-country skiers enjoy the 50 km of cross-country trails.
